The Kings are set to ink veteran center JaVale McGee

According to reports, JaVale McGee has found a new home with the Sacramento Kings two days after being waived by the Dallas Mavericks.

The Kings made the playoffs as the 16th seed in the Western Conference despite a league-record three seasons of excellence from the outside. The addition of McGee will provide the Kings with depth on the inside, where he will be paired with Kings big man Domantas Sabonis.

It was a year ago that the Mavs signed McGee to be the team's starting center.McGee started seven of the first nine games, but dropped out of the starting rotation about a month into the season and has rarely played since.

The Mavericks missed the playoffs last season, and despite trying to pair Kyrie Irving with All-Star Luka Doncic in a midseason trade, it didn't have the desired effect.https://www.boynikesneakers.com

McGee contributed 4.2 points and 5.42 rebounds per game last season. Although he is 35 years old, he has career averages of 7.8 points and 5.2 rebounds. During the 2021-22 season with the Suns, he averaged 17 minutes per game in 16 games (74 starts), providing valuable help to a team that helped Phoenix reach the second round of the playoffs.

McGee has won three NBA championships, including two as a member of the Golden State Warriors. He also won a championship with the Los Angeles Lakers. However, he did not play in the NBA Finals the season the Lakers won the championship.
